Upon release, Ra.One received mixed reviews from critics in India,with film reviewers clearly separated into two factions. Some reviewers were of the opinion that the film had brought the level of Indian films at par with Hollywood films, while others complained about the flawed script. According to review aggregator Review Gang, professional critics have given the film an average rating of 5.5 out of 10.
